Norwegian Cruise Lines Updates
Norwegian Cruise Line is setting the stage for an exciting 2025, breathing new life into two of its beloved Jewel-class ships: the Norwegian Jewel and the Norwegian Pearl. These are part of Norwegians smaller more intimate fleet of ships, compared to their mega ships. These vessels, already favorites among cruisers, are heading into dry dock for a transformation that promises to elevate the onboard experience in fresh and luxurious ways.
One of the standout additions is the adults-only Vibe Beach Club—a serene escape designed for those seeking tranquility at sea. With hot tubs, private cabanas, and plush loungers overlooking the ocean, it’s the kind of place where time slows down and the horizon becomes your personal backdrop.
The Norwegian Jewel will be the first to undergo its makeover, scheduled between September 25 and October 15, 2025. Once refreshed, she’ll sail from Miami, offering itineraries through Panama and the Caribbean. Not long after, the Norwegian Pearl will follow suit, entering dry dock from November 3 to 23, 2025. Her post-upgrade voyages will include the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and the iconic Panama Canal.
Though these ships share the same class and layout, each has its own personality. The Jewel leans into elegance, with refined décor and a relaxed ambiance. Guests can indulge in specialty dining at Cagney’s Steakhouse or Le Bistro, enjoy lively evenings at Bliss Ultra Lounge, and stay connected with upgraded Starlink internet. The addition of Vibe Beach Club only enhances its appeal for adults looking to unwind.
The Pearl, slightly smaller and more intimate, offers a cozy atmosphere without sacrificing big-ship amenities. Its size allows it to access ports that larger ships can’t, giving travelers a chance to explore more unique destinations. It’s a ship that blends comfort with adventure, perfect for those who want the best of both worlds.
And the upgrades aren’t limited to the ships. Norwegian’s private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay, is also getting a refresh. Starting in late 2025, cruisers will find new attractions like swim-up bars and a sprawling waterpark—proof that Norwegian is committed to creating unforgettable experiences both on board and ashore.
With these enhancements, Norwegian Cruise Line is making it clear: 2025 is the year to cruise in style.
